When I was a child in Vacation Bible School we use to sing,"He's got the whole world in His hands. He's got you and me brother in His hands. He's got you and me sister in His hands." The "He" in the song referred to God. It was a very comforting song...a very comforting thought. Today we may think of political unrest and disease being in control of our world. As a result of this we are stressed and fearful about our future. How we use our minds has an effect on our condition in the world. It is time to renew our minds, to refresh to the childlike faith of our youth. If we can remember that God has the whole whole world in his hands, we will remember who is in charge of our fate. We will not be depressed nor defeated by political upheaval nor disease because we will draw our strength from the Lord of the Universe.

What we focus our minds on affects our condition. Whether we are in a negative place or a positive one is based on what we meditate on. If we constantly listen to negative news broadcasts, we will be drawn into that mindset. On the other hand, if we concentrate on He who holds the earth and its people in His hands, we will feel hopeful and positive. We are far more than the bodies we see. Our innermost nature is spiritual. When we concentrate on that part we can rise above our circumtances. The life of Jesus Christ is an example of one who lived from spiritual nature. To keep in mind who holds us in His hands feeds our spiritual nature and empowers us to deal with the challenges on this plane of existencce. Remember. He's got the whole world in His hands, and that includes you.
